December 2020 was a tumultuous time in America. Political tension was rising on the heels of the 2020 election, COVID cases were at record highs with heated debate over protocol influencing every community, and protests were abundant following the constant continuation of police brutality.
When I drove across the country I was eager to know how people felt about the country. On my drive between Oregon and Wisconsin I asked other travelers one question — "How do you feel about being American right now?"
